Congratulations to the winner of the eHKAM logo design competition

The eHKAM logo design competition engaged Academy Fellows and specialist trainees.

Dr. Penny Ping Wu from the Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists won the prize “Best Design”, and the winning design will be formally adopted as the eHKAM logo, appearing on various communication platforms.

The Academy would like to thank everyone for supporting and participating in the competition.

About the logo
This logo is designed with the style of 8-Bit pixel art, representing the platform for e-Learning resources and virtual learning experience. This logo consists of a laptop with components of our Academy's emblem being drawn in pixel art style.

• The ‘open book’ on the screen of the laptop symbolises obtaining medical knowledge with the assistance of computer system.
• The ‘upright staff with a serpent intertwined’ symbolises it is the learning platform for medical profession.
• The ‘bauhinia blossom’ is a simplified version of the bauhinia blossom from the Academy emblem.
• The use of the same corporate color allows people to instantly recognise the logo is complementing the official Academy's logo.
• The word ‘eHKAM’ is also hand-drawn meticulously to match the pixel art style. The word is further shadowed to allow it being more clearly seen even when the whole logo is revised to be a smaller version, for example when being used as an icon of an 'app' on tablet or mobile phone.
